How can i pay?
Payment is required when the order is placed or at the time of delivery. Cash and cheque.
ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR LARGE BOOKINGS OR ORDERS?

CAN YOU SERVICE OR SWEEP IF I AM NOT IN?
Yes. However we do prefer someone to be there as we will need access to inside the property.
why do i need to have my chimney / flue swept?
Chimneys need to allow passage of  all dangerous combustion gasses. A regular cleaning will remove soot, creosote, tar and any other blockages helping prevent chimney fires. Cleaning will also increase the efficiency of some appliances.
how often does my chimney need sweeping?
Sweeping frequencies are for guidance only. Frequency of your sweep will depend on a number of factors including: Type of fuel you burn, which appliance used, how much you use it, any moisture content of wood and kindling and your type of chimney. We will be able to advise on sweeping frequency during your visit.
  • Smokeless fuel: At least once a year.
  • Wood: Quarterly when in use
  • Bituminous coal: Quarterly when in use
  • Oil: Once a year
  • Gas: Once a year
why should i use a guild registered chimney sweep?
Guild sweeps undertake extensive training and assessment processes. Training is based around the most comprehensive training manual in the UK. Guild membership requires members to be insured for Chimney Sweeping and equipped to deal with all situations. The Guild is owned equally by all its members it can acts like a co-operative, sharing information and solving customer problems as a collective. In the unlikely event your Guild sweep is unable help you, they should be able to recommend someone who can.
what should i do to prepare for the sweep’s visit?
In general they will need clear access to the chimney and adequate space to work in. It is always advisable to clear ornaments from the hearth and the mantelpiece. In particular, clear the grate of any unburnt fuel / ash / rubbish as cleaning up before we start is a pet hate of most sweeps.
